Sure, if you do that, then you don't get SurroundSound…but, it's not like it's workin' out for ya, is it? So, what's it gonna be—killer audio with Styx disconcertingly throwing his voice, or "just" good audio with Styx not givin' you the creeps? Seems an elementary choice to me—I'd go for the creep-free option, keeping in mind that Ushiri Arrowhell Coop is exactly right 'cause not everyone has the same hardware and software.
Different hardware and software = different results. Player A with Killer Audio Card Z attempting to render audio at 192 KHz gets garbage out while Player B with average Audio Card X rendering @ 92KHz notices no problems at all.
