Sound is broken. Just bought the game.
When I start the game the sound is good ... but when it reaches menu of the game.. you can hear crackling. When I started a new game in the video the cracling still is.. and then when characters are talking... they are talking twice as fast. Dont know if its any kind of bug or what is it. Someone knows pls?

Hey guys, little bit of explanation there.

The problem is due to one of our Third Parties software which doesn't handle 192 000 Hz. Like not at all.

So we can't due much on our side. However, I think that we're ought to (in the next couple of days) create a Pinned Thread with these kind of known issues and their workarounds.

Please excuse us for the inconvenience.

Aside from sounds issues.... You up for a CooP game?

I was seriously considering buying this game...seeing that it's on sale and I also have the original game (tho yet to play). But reading this thread has turned me away from buying completely. I can very well adjust with 96000 Hz sound quality, but this weird bug where Styx dialogues can only be heard from rear speakers (!!!) is bizarre and should no way be suffered throughout the entire game. So unless the Devs fix it, this issue will just discourage potential buyers like me.

I hope there will be some workaround or a patch...
This is not correct at all for everyone, I have never encountered this problem, perhaps it´s just on some systems.

Players experiencing problem with Styx's voice coming only from rear speakers or speaker, the fix is "majorly" easy: Switch from whatever SurroundSound profile you're using to plain ol' stereo output. The developers already admitted that a third party "screwed the pooch" in the audio department.

Sure, if you do that, then you don't get SurroundSound…but, it's not like it's workin' out for ya, is it? So, what's it gonna be—killer audio with Styx disconcertingly throwing his voice, or "just" good audio with Styx not givin' you the creeps? Seems an elementary choice to me—I'd go for the creep-free option, keeping in mind that Ushiri Arrowhell Coop is exactly right 'cause not everyone has the same hardware and software.

Different hardware and software = different results. Player A with Killer Audio Card Z attempting to render audio at 192 KHz gets garbage out while Player B with average Audio Card X rendering @ 92KHz notices no problems at all.

Personally, I have really crappy RealTek HD Audio manager, but I'm specifying ordinary stereo output with desktop speakers and headphones, so…no audio problems—ever.
