Online Coop Question
Online Coop sounds cool. How are the characters distinguished differently? Would we both be the same character, but in different color, etc,,,

Can you have more than one player join your game?

The Clon looks Grey just see the Trailer. ;)

uhm.. I think that will be a two player co-op only (difficulty calibrations, need to see also if playing co-op make the game too easy or they have added some balancing, like doubling the enemies or so on)

Anyway as showed in the trailer "co-op" the "second styx" it's a rakash, a clone of Styx... So both player will see the other as a clone of him but with a different armor color (gray as said by Vaith above)... but just to be obvious: if you're one... the other will be your friend you know? :P

I don't remember there being any talk about ONLINE co-op. They told that at any point in time another IRL person with you can take control of the first players clone and transform it into an intelligent clone. This co-op partner looks to be pretty much cannon fodder.

Don't know what you smoke. No, they said about online coop, and second player take ANOTHER goblin, with name.

Don't insult me. I was wrong about it being local but another intelligent goblin does not exist. Styx might have gotten better at cloning and made an invidually working clone a possibility but the lore says that he is the only intelligent Goblin. A plot twist is possible but wouldn't appear in trailers. You may be confused by Styx calling the clone Rakash but that is an insult/nickname he and some orcs like to use (mainly other goblins).

I'm excited myself to team up with another person in this new added online coop! :steamhappy:

Just a note: Rakash is "monster" in orcish if I remember correctly... obviously in the trailer was more adequate using this nickname than 'o0O_Big_Penis_84_O0o' ;P

Anyway, just a random thought about [NOTE: personal idea, nothing founded]:
by the story we know Styx is the only intelligent goblin, BUT this is an information gived by Styx itself that actually have a crappy memory and an amber addiction.

There's a lot of room for plot twist and things, just to say a random [and baseless] thing:
In 'Of orcs and men' Styx can't spawn clones and doesn't drink amber, it's actually possible that the Styx of that game IS a clone controlled (or not) by the real Styx (The Styx we know isn't so stupid to expose itself like THAT when he could send a clone, considering also the 'Rebirth' ability saw in the co-op trailer), but it's also possible that he simply lost this power.

So: I will not be so sure about the fact that Styx is the only intelligent goblin, but about the Co-op the 2nd player is clearely a better Clone than the averange clones, no doubt about.

In fact there's enough space to write some good books on the subject...

A fellow lore enthusiast I see. I was told that Rakash means vermin or something useless. Arkai doesn't exactly like Styx's way of doing things and Both Styxes pretty much hate their clones.
Of Orcs And Men Styx does use amber, at least in stun bombs and I think 'consentration' might actually be amber related. Also the old Styx was supercharged with amber so Styx could reach a similar state. My theory on Styx not using clones is that A) He didn't want to freack out Arkail and the others (keep in mind Styx stuck to the shadows before and only the senile Querberus saw him create a clone) B) As I said, he hates his clones, espesially the barfing part.

I don't remember which potions/bombs are in 'Of orcs and men' but what I mean was that he doesn't use amber like he does in MoS.

About MoS:
Anyway, there are some missing part (obviously) about the Styx relationship with his clones, we know the reason because the first Styx hate them, but not why the second Styx does. Maybe is something that we will understand in SoD or later. Anyway, some other things related:

-I find difficult to think that the Second Styx could reach the "amber level" of the First, because he wasn't exposed to the event that trasformed the First Styx (He only take the heart of the tree in his hands for a few seconds and doesn't run experiment on it), but most of all I think that the power of the first Styx become from knowlege (remember his laboratory, books, experiment, the whole knowlege of his life before)

-The first Styx also is capable to control/create more clones at once without concentration, something that the second Styx couldn't.

-In the Prison level in MoS one of the Dying clones is surprised that the Second Styx can create clones, so much surprised that he actually think that he could success fighting the First (and note, also this clone is 'more powerful' than the others, because he could speak)

I agree about not freaking out Arkail but I also think
-Styx is enough smart to avoid to reveal all his moves to an unkown orc (note that he doesn't also turn himself invisible or any other tricks, amber vision or else)
-It's actually possible that the Styx from 'oOaM' is a 'more powerful' clone, but unable to create clones himself (and other things that Styx does), or even a mind controlled clone from the real Styx.

The whole mission in oOaM is too dangerous to think that Styx won't be using his clones and many other asset he have like: Why risk it's own life in dangerous move like being launched to the tower by Arkail when he could just send a clone? At least to try a few launch before being launched himself

So or something drastic happend before oOaM (maybe in SoD or after) to Styx, or it is possible a new level of narration of oOaM

Anyway I think that this is a bit OT
