Steam Link now available on iOS and Apple TV
The Steam Link app is now available on iOS and Apple TV and can be downloaded from the App Store on your device:

Steam Link isn't in the App Store on the iPad.

Search for Valve, then click "Valve in Developers", follow the first result, and you'll find it. It seems like the Link app hasn't been added to the search database or something?

IOS supports MFI controller only. There is no way using Dualshock 4 with Steamlink for IOS.

I wish you could make the steam link app for the mac os too because the remote play is not working well, always yellow connection (and I use wired connection on my home network)

Agreed. Steam Link app works really well in contrast to the native streaming on the Steam client.

Maybe the Marzipan stuff helps port over the Steam Link app from iOS to macOS? Who knows.

Doesn't even launch on my Apple TV 4K. Crashes in less than a second after trying to start it.

Same for me. Multiple Apple TVs, same problem. iPad works fine. Response from support:

"Unfortunately our troubleshooting steps are quite limited when it comes to the Steam Link App on mobile devices.

Please uninstall the application then restart your phone, once complete, install the Steam Link App from the App Store.

I highly recommend visiting the Steam Community as users with similar setups may provide a workaround or solution."

I'll see if I can get more out of them...

Hi everyone. I just tried to use remote play streaming from my PC to my apple TV screen. While connected, the game is working very well on my computer. However, extremely laggy, delayed response on the TV and I keep getting a red connection warning on the bottom right corner. I have ethernet plugged in my PC and it runs as 100 Mbs. I tried adjusting settings on steam remote play settings and nothing worked. Not sure what's going on.

Are you using Intel hardware encoding on the remote PC?

Apple TV App is wild, I hope it improves.

I have hard-wird Google Fiber and still would get video latency and a constant red warning in the lower right hand corner. It was so bad, I got my physical Steam and that worked fine.

So I followed:

Even though the lowest my band with gets is 250MBps, I have to set my Steam Link to:
Settings - Remote Play - Fast and Limit to 3MBps or I will get screen freezes.

Won't even do Balanced at 3MBps, wild stuff. The network is not the issue. This worked flawlessly on the Samsung Steam Link app that just got discontinued and all other devices/services work flawless on the same network.

Multiple Apple TVs all require Fast and 3MBps to be somewhat functional on the Steam Link app.

I hope this helps anyone else trying to figure out why the Apple TV Steam Link app appears to never work.
