Steam Link PS3 Controller Raspberry PI3, Local drivers?

HI,

As many of you out there, i have been trying to get PS3 controller to play with Steam Link on Raspberry Pi3 without luck. I´m now woundering if local Rpi drivers might help?

I have installed SCP Toolkit on the PC, and go the PS3 controller to work there, but when connecting PS3 controller to RPI, the controller was detected, but no button activity was detected in SteamLink.

I installed the Sixaxis FW on the rpi, and could connect the PS3 controller there, but again, was not detected by steamlink.

This goes for both wired and wireless for the PS3 controller when conected to the rpi.

Is there another way to ge this working?
I have managed to get a ordinary wired pc controller to work in Steamlink (game: Trine3) , but would love to use the wirelsess PS3.

I was using a PS3 controller on the Raspberry Pi yesterday. The PS3 controller doesn't send any button input until you hit the PS button and you get a single red light on the front. Did you try that already?

• have you installed Sixaxis or SCP toolkit to get this working or is Steam link able to connect to ps3 controller without middlewear?

You were right!
* Removed SCP toolkit from PC.
* Fresh strech install on rpi3, and latest Steam Link.
With USB wire inserted in PS3 controller and rpi, pressing PS-button makes Connection in Steam Link. Playing with USB wire inserted works.
However, i cant make Bluetooth connection:
* USB wire inserted, single red light in ps3 controller front.
* Removing USB wire and pressing PS button on PS3 controller.
* Navigating to pairing window, but no PS3 controller show up. Eventually BT timeout on PS3 controller.
Is there anything i´m missing or is third party middleware, like Sixaxis, required in order to make BT conection between PS3 controller and rpi running Stem Link?

I think you do need sixaxis for the Bluetooth pairing.
