Steam Link Android TV - freeze

Hi,

I have Sony KD49XG8096 with Android Tv and wanted to test Steam Link App.

Some games are running without issues (tested for ~15 minutes)

• 7 Days to Die - Game polled D3D11 NV12 + NVENC H264
  
• Terraria - Game threaded D3D9 NV12 + NVENC H264
  
• Kingdom Come - Game polled D3D11 NV12 + NVENC H264
  
• The Witcher 3 - Game polled D3D11 NV12 + NVENC H264
  
• Sherlock Holmes - Game polled D3D11

But other games tend to freeze my Steam Link App after few minutes of playing and continue to run on my host machine

• Dead by Daylight - Game polled D3D11 NV12 + NVENC H264
  
• Rocket League- Game threaded D3D9 NV12 + NVENC H264
  
• Big Picture view (idle, downloading game) - Steam D3D10 NV12 + NVENC H264

My host and my tv are connected to router via cable.

HOST

CPU: i5-3570K 3.40GHZ

GPU: GTX 1060 3GB

I have tested hosting Rocket League on second PC also with NVIDIA card, and had same issue - freeze after couple of minutes

I have tested Rocket League on phone client via WiFi and game was laggy, but didn't freeze

In-Home Streaming Rocket League from PC to PC works flawless

I have the same issue - I am pretty sure it is caused by version 1.1.48 of the Steam Link App

Before this update I have never experienced this. I see it happen in certain games (E.g. Metal Gear Solid V Phantom Pain) but not others.

I also have the same issue since last Friday. Video and inputs freeze after a short time (5 to 10 mns), I can still ear sound.

I'm streaming from an Sony Android TV too.

I got the issue with 1.1.47 & 1.1.48, will try downgrading later.

Do you have access to an apk of version 1.1.45? I can't downgrade to anything more recent than 1.1.39 unfortunately

I downloaded yesterday the 'latest' one hosted by Valve. It turned out it to be 1.1.43.

It may have been updated since then, though !

It fixed the video freeze for me too!

Please don't release any more potentially breaking updates on a Saturday (like 1.1.47) - weekends are for gaming, not for troubleshooting :P

Same Thing here with a Philips PUS 6412 and Android TV. App worked fine before, but now almost every game freezes my TV. XBOX 360 controller disconnects and reconnects twice and is recognized as third device, not as first. This Update is for the wastebin.
