Quest 2 won't connect VRlink driver error
I keep getting a VRlink driver error when trying to start up.
one window says...

The VRlink Driver encountered a fatal error
ERROR: failed to create/reset encoder in
videoamfenc::SubmitFrame()

I also get...

Steam Client Update Required

You must update your steam client in order to
use the full functionality of Steam VR

I've tried to update steam, it says its running the newest version

I am using an AMD Ryzen 5600G, yes its weaksauce for any actual VR games but I'm hoping to run some lite ones and my flat screen games in my head set. someday soon i'll get a good dedicated Graphics card lol.

We regret that Steam Link cannot support the AMD RX6400 / RX6400 GT, as these are missing dedicated encode hardware that Steam Link requires.

I have added the RX 6400 GT to the list of unsupported GPUs here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/353380/discussions/11/4029096129893978378/

@Karrot - Could you give this a try and report back whether this fixes it?

When SteamVR is launched:
  • go into SteamVR settings via the ≡ button in the top-left of SteamVR on your Desktop
  • click settings
  • go into Steam Link settings
  • slide the encoded video size slider all the way to the left
  • restart SteamVR.

We don't know for sure if this'll fix the problem on your integrated GPU, but it would be super helpful if you could try and let us know what happens.

This is it - i have slided the encoded video size slider all the way to the right and after that i can't connect to Steam VR, so this solution must work, but i can't find these settings on PC. Is there any way to get to these settings on PC? I tried to reinstall SteamVR, but still it does not work. Is there any hidden config in other folders?

upd: https://steamcommunity.com/app/250820/discussions/2/1640917625015598552/ - just follow steps here to fully reset steam vr config. Worked for me just fine, now i'm able to connect
