Steam Link Meta Quest 3 doesn´t see my Steam PC
Steam Link Meta Quest 3 doesn´t see my Steam PC. Virtual Desktop and Quest Link air function as usual. Quest 3 and the pc are connected over a dedicated Router.
Someone knows why Steam Link Software on the Quest 3 dont see my Steam PC?

Same issue, if you find a solution, I'd be happy to hear it

Sure. 😉
I've just shut down my Quest 3. Meta then did an update. But it still doesn't work. And I don't notice anything about an update on the Quest. Well, as always with Meta.
I think it's because of the Quest 3, because the software is simply in alpha status. I've never seen such bad operating software for hardware.

The good news. Valve seems to be preparing Steam for their own new HMD and a wireless connection. 🤘

Make sure in steam settings, remote play is enabled. They should probably add it to the FAQ or whatever. I had the same issue until I tried with a different device and it was like "make sure remote play is enabled in steam settings".

Where do you enable remote play? I’m not seeing it in the settings.

Nevermind I found it. It’s enabled and my HMD is paired. For some reason SteamVR doesn’t recognize my HMD though.

Yep, turning on Remote Play in Steam Settings fixed it! I was able to connect using Steam Link.

Same, I just switched wifi and its the worst, not sure if it has anything to do with it.

If you find a solution let me know, i have Remote Play enabled and it still wont connect to my PC.

I did 2 things and either both or one of them worked for me (as these were the same things I changed to get VirtualDesktop to work):

1. I have a VPN running so i enabled split tunneling and added anything Steam related to not run over VPN

2. then I allowed anything Steam related to communicate through Windows Defender Firewall (type "Allow an app through Windows Firewall" in windows search bar)

gave PC and Quest 3 a reboot just in case, and after that the headset recognized my PC.

Ok, it works for me now. Remote Play was disabled. Thats something thats has to be in the faq.
But its stuttering much for me with steam link. I dont have this with virtual desktop. Perhaps its getting better with updates.

I think i found the problem! You need to have an ethernet cable connected to your PC. Myne wasnt recongnizing it and I got an ethernet cable and it works now!

A good way to test is to enable a hotspot on your pc using a wireless connection, it should work but it will tell you that wireless is not supported!

Mind sharing where you found this mystery setting? I'm trying to troubleshoot the same issue but can't for the life of me find it anywhere
