Steam Link version 1.1.87 BETA

The next version of Steam Link for Linux is now available as a beta build.

You can install the beta using the following steps:

• flatpak remote-add --user flathub-beta https://flathub.org/beta-repo/flathub-beta.flatpakrepo
  
• flatpak update --appstream
  
• flatpak install --user flathub-beta com.valvesoftware.SteamLink

Once you have the beta installed, you can run it with:

flatpak run com.valvesoftware.SteamLink

You can be explicit about whether you're running the beta or stable version by specifying --branch=beta or --branch=stable

You can get future beta updates with:

flatpak update com.valvesoftware.SteamLink

Changes in build 1.1.87.219:

• Greatly improved VA-API hardware decoding
  
• Fixed crash after 10-20 seconds of streaming
  
• Updated to the Freedesktop SDK 21.08
