I would shell out at least $10 for a native Plex app.
You're probably better off starting developing apps on the desktop. Having the application you're making run on the same computer is probably much easier to learn on.
Is there a EULA for SteamLink or the SDK? Would I be allowed to make a free hub app that lets you search/download/update other free SteamLink apps?
Why would I need another box under my TV, when current and readily available hardware can do the same, like a Fire TV or a Raspberry Pi?
Really disappointed that you're fragmenting this streaming business.
Martin Gerhardy contributed a CMake toolchain file:
https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steamlink-sdk/blob/master/toolchain/steamlink-toolchain.cmake
The Steam Link is covered by the Steam EULA. The SDK doesn't have a special license - each of the components have their own licenses, included with their source code.
We want the Steam Link to be an open platform, so you could definitely make a free hub app that lets you download other free apps.
