jajajajaja anda que no jajajaja
Thank you I know that,
in version 1.6.7 of IncognitoMan used the structure in a usb (it was a total success), that made it possible to load for example games, cores, bios in a usb so could have 8gb of things for example. I imagine that this new version of yours can be done the same? or it is limited. Also it may be that usb mount does not work in the firmware version that I have the 683. Therefore, to know if the others work usbmount in this version. I did not program if it did not help even so great work and thanks for your effort.
from my googlee translator XD
Well I know why I did not see folders after disk, the problem was my pendrive
I can’t seem to figure out the best way to switch between games that either have the start button with 2 or less players or 4 player multi tap games
When I set the pads for 1-4 to standard and turn multi tap 1&2 to auto, 4 player games work, however, if I switch to a game that requires the “START” button, I can’t seem to press it and can’t get passed the loading screen, unless I do a random set of combinations between switching on and off multitaps, enabling 1, disabling 2, changing the pads to default, and back and fourth. (Takes a while to get 2 player working again) sometimes I would do a random set of configurations, save the config, and then restart retroarch and maybe it works
Any idea??

Hello dankcushions.
I have found a quick fix to the problem. When I go into retroarch while ingame and switch the controller input for controllers 3 and 4 from retropad to retropad w/ analog and back again to retropad, the controllers seem to work. It's as if they are "woken up" when you change a setting for them.
Hi, first, I'm not a Linux expert or programming.
I just want to ask a question, why do not do a retropie port to install the image in a us like this and it would only be easier.
It's just a question I've already said that I do not know much about this, so I understand that it can be a headache, make retropie work in steam link, but it would be great to be able to do :)
I think if something like this would come about, it would just need to download and set up the USB stick for you. Which sounds pretty easy as long as someone has permanent file hosting and downloadss won't go away after a while. I could likely make a downloader menu.
fhersete is getting a comprehensive download together here and you should be able to pick what to install for now.

I was afraid that it was not easy, thanks for answering and for using your time, for gathering things to share with those who do not know about these things, and we only know how to give a button hehehehe. Even so, he said something of emulationstaion and that there may be some possibility since that would make the idea of using retropy go away. Is that the retroarch menu is so ugly hahahaha. Well I said thank you for your time and for those who do things like this.
I tried the build of emulationstation that already exists and it seems to work fine. I might make a simple installer package for it that includes Retroarch and the cores we've had success with. If I have any luck I'll post it in the main thread for Emulationstation.
Edit: Maybe I won't. Somewhat of a pain trying to do all the paths. Need to assume USB and most of the config files are created and don't transfer with a normal install. I'm not too excited about adding additional overhead. I'm looking the other direction on trying to build some current emulators without a Retroarch frontend to see if I can get a little more out of it.
Yes, USB and most of the configuration files are created and not transferred with a normal installation, but for example I have installed my retroarch compilation in my case, and in the retroarch.cfg file I tell you that everything is located in the usb and it works for me at the moment with the included retroarch theme. If we know that ES (emulationstation) would be installed in the storage of SL (steamlink), ES has an es_systems.cfg file, at least in windows where it is told according to the content that the emulator uses where the rom is and which core to use that everything could be in a usb. If retroarch works well with its installation let's say as a core in SL and the rest in USB. Just believe in that possibility I'm not an expert. I only dream of seeing ES in SL jajajajajaja. That if I can make them op something light even I can help you with the cfg files, do not do anything else hehehehehe.
I forgot thank you for your work.
Thank you! I’ll give that a shot! :)
Unfortunatly it works only with mouse and keyboard.
Plugging in one of my controllers (a steam controller and a nvidia shield controller) via usb is always noticed by "Controller not configured"
On my steamlink itself both controllers work fine.
Can you tell me how to configure new controllers in retroarch?
EDIT:
Just figured it out. Works after using the online update for input devices.

Were i to guess there's an issue with your port forwarding or UPnP settings. I was able to show up on https://lobby.libretro.com but didn't have another way to test an actual connection with multiplayer.
There's going to be some limitations where you might have issues unless it's another Steam Link connecting due to hardware differences according to the FAQ. (Or it just might not work at all with my build)
eg.
Does RetroArch support cross-platform netplay?
Yes, but your mileage may vary, particularly when endianness differs.
In any case if you have any luck, please let us all know.
If you do start a host, you can post back here and I'll see if I can connect.
