Steam Link

Xbox one passthrough
Would be amazing if this unit would allow input control from the xbox one while connected through the HDMI passthrough. If this was possible, it's an instant buy for me.

wait for windows 10, I heard you can stream your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to a PC.
Steam link is not designed to stream peasant box to a tv or monitor.

The xbox one has an HDMI pass through. Which would allow you to connect the Steam Link set-top through the xbox one. The thing it likely can not do is allow the xbox one to provide input control from the xbox one controller via the HDMI cable.

If it could, that would be amazing. Since I could just walk into the room with xbox one, pick up my controller and play either xbox one games or steam games. No need to swap controllers or any of that non-sense.

Additionally, I'd be able to snap apps to it, like voice chat with friends and such. The Audio form the Stem Link would also pass through to the sound system. It's just a very clean setup, if it worked.

I do hope they enable the reverse of this with windows 10. If they allowed the user to stream their desktop from the PC back to the xbox, then the Steam Link, Nvidia Shield and all that other crap would be useless. I could just boot up steam and go into big screen mode remotly on the xbox one!

I am not sure that will be easy or possible to give Controller info with a HDMI cable (with the audio and View
How ever, not sure abut it at all, you may be able to use your XBOX One controller with the Steam Link by it self (even that then you may have a problem of the Xbox turning on when you want to use the Steam Link and so on...

How ever if you can Stream Xbox One to the Windows 10, you can then Stream it to the Steam Link maybe :D: allowing you to play using Steam Link alone...

But guess will have to wait and see

Ok, lets stream a computer game to the steam link, but then passthrough that through the xbox one.Now lets stream the xbox one to the PC again and play the game that is running on the PC, being streamed to the Xbox via Steamlink, which is being streamed to the PC via windows 10
