Steam Link Build 789
We've just released an update to the Steam Link firmware.

Changes:
  • Added full support for the PS5 DualSense controller
  • Added support for the Xbox One Series X controller over USB. Pairing over Bluetooth is not currently supported.
  • Added support for the MOGA XP5-X Plus controller

Hi, firstly thank you for continuing to support the steamlink. Is Bluetooth support for the series x controller in the works or is there a hardware limitation of some kind?

This update seems to have made my Xbox One S controller guide button no longer work over bluetooth. The controller isn't busted, because it works over USB and also over bluetooth directly on my PC.

This is fixed for the next build, thanks!

Any idea when Directx12 issues might be ironed out? We've been trying to stream cyberpunk, but the framerate is chopped in half. I don't have this issue with other API and Cyberpunk requires Directx12.

The Xbox One Series X controller (wired) crashes Steam Link on Raspberry Pi.

I get the following error:

/home/pi/.local/share/SteamLink/steamlink.sh: line 156: 4697 Segmentation fault shell -platform "$QPLATFORM" "$@"

We're investigating what can be done, but if you're using an NVIDIA card, you can turn on "Use NVFBC capture on NVIDIA GPU" in the advanced host Remote Play settings and that should work much better.

Hi Slouken!
Thanx for the reply regarding DX12. Any hope for AMD graphics owners? :)

Glad to hear that you are looking in to the DX12 issue!
Just got the new AMD RX 6800 gpu installed but both Cyberpunk 2077 and Assassins Creed Valhalla are almost unplayable on the Steam Link.

Recently updated to this build on raspberry pi. Previously it had been working great, but since the update i have had connection issues where it seems like the controller disconnects, but in actual fact all input from the raspberry pi with the exception of the mouse stops working. I have to complete power cycle the raspberry pi in order to get the controller and keyboard to work. Should i log a ticket with steam support re this?

NVFBC seems to work better with DX12 games, but it introduces some issues. For example, Gears 5 streams at 60 FPS, but it stutters very regularly while it is perfectly smooth on the host. And on Shadow of the Tomb Raider (DX12 mode), NVFBC doesn't seem to make any difference, streaming performance is awful while the game works fine on the host PC.

NVFBC also introduces screen tearing at the bottom of the screen with all games that I have tested.

I tried installing Moonlight on the Steam Link and it works perfectly, but it doesn't support the Steam Controller so it's not a permanent solution for me unfortunately.

Thanks for looking into it!

Xbox One S bluetooth pairing is broken. Can't pair with Steam Link.
On PC/Android bluetooth pairing is working fine. Also controller updated with the latest firmware available using Xbox accessories app on Windows 10.
