I have a Sony XBR65A1E 65-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart BRAVIA OLED TV (2017 Model), and would love to test Steam Link as an Android App on it!
It's in the TVs' app store.
I have the same TV and also plugged my DS4 into the OneConnect.
Controller is on, but Steam Link just shows the screen asking me to plug in a device. I tried restarting the app and cycled the TV but I can't get past this screen.
Is there any ETA for the app to test in Germany?
Is it the TV region or the Steam region that matters?
Interested to see 4k support though. That probably means the TV should be capable of higher bitrates than the Steam Link
It's not showing up on either of my tvs app stores. Im logged in, US, fully updated. When you log into the samsung website you can find it. Just doesn't show up on the tvs.
I didn't have that issue. So if you plug in the controller to the connect box, it actually is able to control the TV. Maybe try going into the Steam app using the controller.
I prefer to wait for them to get support for the rest of the controllers because i dont have an steam controller i have a wireless xbox 360 controller with a not official wireless adapter
I have usa setup as a region for the smart hub, but when I click on Steam Link app I get "unable to connect to the samsung server. error code as415"
Does anyone has solution to this?
I had that also and I somehow made it to work by:
1. Revert to your factory region
2. Turn off your tv
3. Wait ~10s
4. Turn on tv, go to samsung store and try to download any app, if there is info that store is currently reloading go back to live tv and try again in a bit.
5. if you are able to download apps from your regions change region to US again.
6. Repeat steps 2-4.
7. If everything is working search "steam" in samsung store.
8. Hopefully you should be able to download and use the steam link app.
Good luck!
