How to turn off xbox one s controller after shuting down steam link?

I have paired the XBO S Controller with steam link. Works fine. But when i shut down the steam link, the controller does not turn off. How to turn off the controller?

This is a limitation of the XBox One controller in Bluetooth mode. We've been in contact with Microsoft and there's no ETA for a fix. The controller will shut down by itself after 2 minutes.

You can turn off the controller manually by holding the blinking guide button down for slightly longer than you would think was necessary. ;)

It has to work. Simply keep the guide button pressed until it shuts itself off. It takes about 5 ou 6 seconds. This is only to turn off the controller. So first turn off the link then turn off the controller.

If it still does not work, update your controller. But if the Bluetooth works, then it's updated.

Maybe try updating the firmware on the controller through the Xbox accessories app?

My trick: Remove the battery and plug it in again. Solved. It won't break the sync with Steam link.
