I can't seem to get my controller to connect on my Windows 7 desktop. My controller paired fine on my Win10 laptop but on my desktop the controller connects to Windows (I can see the buttons and sticks working in settings) but Steam doesn't recognize it.

Wired works, yeah. Still not sure why wireless doesn't.
I tried using wired with another USB-C cable that came with my 8bitdo and it didn't work. Using the included cable worked fine. A bit confusing but ok.

I'm having some gyro drift issues which makes it a pain to use with some games that takes focus of the controller when you use the mouse in the menus.

I would love to map the screenshot button to be a gyro toggle button but I'm not sure if that's possible.

Awesome!
Anyone have any idea why that when I plug my Switch Pro Controller with the USB-C, it just pushes buttons randomly and the right stick does move randomlly all over? I'm not seeing anyone comments about this happening to them.
Finally! AWESOME!
Que pasada!!!! :D felicidades ingenieros de steam n.n :D
The one issue I have so far is that I would like the controller prompts on screen to match the buttons. As an example: in the Nintendo versions of games where X is typically the melee attack button, it's Y on the Nintendo controller. While yes, the Nintendo layout configuration gives that same physical layout, it still throws me off to see the X button displayed on screen when I actually need to press Y.
Does anyone get what I am trying to say? I suppose it might be a game by game fix, though.
@tHeMarriedGuy Games which support the glyph portion of the Steam Input API will show you the correct glyph for any supported device. Some games, like Prey, which were released after we added the future proof version of our glyph functions work out of the box today without any update to the game!

You might be able to take the controller apart and move the bottons to where you want them (i.e move the Y botton and make it X etc.)

Note: I would watch a few videos on how to take it apart if you don't know how to, as you don't want to take it apart and not be able to put it back together.

This is just a suggestion though.

But if you also use this for your switch (and not just as a pc controller), then I probably wouldn't do that, as you'll run into the same problems you have on the pc, but with you switch games (i.e the keys not matching the layout of the game controls).

I just opted in for the Steam Client beta but I still don't have the most recent update. I still have the update from early April
The Wireless controller only works with Bluetooth, correct? Because even when I use the USB Type C and plug it the Wireless with the cable to the PC, it is recognized by the PC However no button is read.
