And switch mode is a pro controller. Windows mode is X-input and comes up as an Xbox One S controller or maybe it was android. Idk.. I've had it come up as a switch pro/Xbox One S/ and a Guli kit controller. Depending on what mode you use. Compared to the steam controller or the steam deck I didn't find the gyro to be reliable. I am pretty disappointed in that. I like the controller but I don't use it for everything because the steam controller and steam deck controls have got me used to a reliable and pretty perfect gyro... the steam deck technically has the perfect controller... Two trackpads AND two joysticks. Working gyro. Two paddles ...
The problem is that it's behaviour can be inconsistent. In Kena Bridge of Spirits, I find that I can make precise hits with it. But in Horizon Zero Dawn there seems to be a minimum input thresshold that makes making precise hits difficult and that game really, really rewards precise hits.
I have tried using the controller in Switch mode but then it keeps detecting a phantom gyro input into a random direction no matter how I recalibrate the gyros or joysticks.
