Radial Menus

I'm playing grounded and I set an action layer for a radial menu (1-8). I then set up the LG to hold the action layer. In game it works as expected, but when I touch-release the keybinding icon nothing happens. It only activates when clicking the trackpad.

I checked the trackpad settings and the radial menu is set to "touch release". The config works on my other trackpad for "touch menu", but keeping the same settings under radial produces this error. Is this a bug or user error?
