Duplicate controllers for PowerA Fusion Pro PS4
I'm using a PowerA Fusion Pro PS4 controller[www.powera.com] in PS4 wired mode (seen as a generic DInput device) because I want to use the touchpad (it's seen as an X360 controller in PC wired mode). When I set it up in Steam, a duplicate controller is created with the name of the type I chose (PS4, Generic, etc.). It applies to all controller types, it seems (I want it to be PS4, of course).

The duplicate doesn't work, no buttons are registered as pressed so it doesn't actually interfere with the games. However, it's seen as the default controller when opening Steam Input, which means I have to change to the right one every time I want to modify a profile. Is there a way to set one controller as the default in Steam Input's Configuration? That would solve the issue, even if the duplicate can't be removed.

I have tried removing/resetting SDL_GamepadBind in config/config.vdf, but the duplicate controller is not even seen there. I tried removing everything and setting up the controller again and the same thing happened.

Have you tried disabling or uninstalling via windows devices?

There's no duplicate there, only in Steam. You mean removing/disabling the whole controller? No duplicate was created in wired PC mode (360 pad), so I'm assuming it has to do with PS4 wired mode not working properly in Steam.

I wish there was just a setting to enable/disable detected controllers directly in Big Picture Mode's controller settings, that would solve everything.

EDIT: The controller config I use is seen as controller 2 by games, which means that there are issues in certain games. Any fix, Steam? A way to switch the order of the controllers would be enough, I think.

The November 16th update seems to have resolved this, but I don't know if it's intentional or some byproduct of some other change. There was no mention of it in the update notes. Whatever the case, I now only see one controller and it works fine (Steam Input Config is broken, however, but it's another matter). Several users are reporting issues with their controllers now, so maybe Valve will have to revert some changes. I hope whatever fixed my issue doesn't conflict with other things so it can be kept, because I'm very glad to have this issue fixed.
