Pro Controller not working with Fortnite

Recently I've been having trouble with my controller with Fortnite so I was wondering if anyone could help me out. Controller works as intended in the Epic Games Launcher itself, but when I load up Fortnite, my controller starts controlling my mouse/cursor instead of actually functioning like the controller would in the game.

Can anyone help me out? I can't send pictures of my settings from what I can see, but I have everything clicked on that the steam support person himself told me to do.

Switch Pro Controller? Do you have it set up for desktop mode? Epic has their own inferior controller hook, it might be pulling that instead.

Yes, I have all the desktop mode settings up and running, and the controller works fine for other games and even worked for Fortnite/Epic itself a couple days ago. Any idea how to disable that Epic controller hook though just in case that is what's happening? never hurts to try i suppose
