New Steam Input keys suddenly missing

The following is something I posted on the Prey discussion page, but I'm actually having the same problem with the Steam Controller itself.

I launched Prey and made a Flickstick config with a PS5 controller, and everything seemed to work great. I started from one of the official recommended configs that uses the Steam Input API (instead of mapping A button you map Jump for example.) This worked great.

I then plugged in my Steam Controller to see if it might work better but then wanted to switch back to the PS5 controller. All of sudden only the right joystick (Flickstick) was working but no other buttons did anything. I go to reset the config from the Recommneded tab but now instead of being called "Official DualShock4 Configuration" it's called "Title_PS4Config". But this config uses the legacy keys (you bind the controller button A for example.)

If I switch to Title_PS4Config, it works but I don't get the nice new bindable actions, or more importantly, the Menu layer.

I've tried every combination or restarting things (Steam/PC/Controller) but I can't get the Recommended to show the original "Official DualShock4 Configuration".

If I go to to the Community tab, I see that someone else has modified and uploaded the "Official DualShock4 Configuration" which is using the new actions, but if I apply this config my controller stops working.

Any help appreciated.

Been playing prey just a ago using ps4 controller. My advise? Go into prey settings, turn off Steam controller support, then switch the ps4/5 layout to Xbox layout default, restart game. You can then much easier edit everything and it shows as Xinput.

Another thing, ps4 and ps5 controllers are basically the same in steam's driver layer
