Connecting with Bluetooth to Android phone

I tried it on Reddit and only 2 people answered me with some ideas but no solution was found.
That's why I'm trying here, I also haven't found any video to this topic which is well documented on YT.

Issue:
Downloaded the Bluetooth Steam controller update then pushed "Steam + B" to get it into Bluetooth Mode, then "Steam + Y" to get it to connection mode. Controller not found.
Tried it with 5 different Android devices, with different OS versions. Android 10,9,8 and 7.
Controller can't be found. And please don't post the Steam Controller "FAQ" it does not work how it is written there.

Question:
Can anyone describe, really step by step (literally everything after getting the software update) on how to connect the Steam Controller to my Android Phone?


Hope someone can help me, because I'm really frustrated and don't know where to search otherwise.

i literally have the same problem. i have 2 steam controllers and lost both dongles. at first thought it was my bluetooth dongle or that my controllers but all work fine with the exception of the steam controller not showing up in bluetooth "add device".
