VIEGEM ERROR

Hello. I finally got Modern Combat transferred from my desktop to the Steam library, updated my drivers and installed GLOsc so I can use my new controller on Modern Combat--however I am now getting a "Error Initializing ViGEM" message when the game is first launched. Anyone know what this is and how to fix it? Please give step by step answers. "Replace the .dll" does me no good and I have put some 20 hours into this due to trial and error and research. Thanks!!!

I would recommend that as a Trouble shooting step...
Windows Os Edtion??
not all Windows OS's are compatible with ViGem...

I currently use Windows 10. Modern Combat does recognize some commands from controller but will not let me alter them. I recently downloaded Steam to my desktop just three days ago. Is that the Beta version?

Goto Steam Client Settings>> Account and Opt into or out of Steam Client Beta on the Account page...

This is a Troubleshooting Step...
Hopefully this helps... Or wait for Alai5 to patch GloSC...

Well, go throught the usual troubleshooting methods, and what MartyWF told you, i don't use GLOsc at all so i'm not much help here. I even forgot what it was lol.

Use Cortana to search for %temp% and delete everything in it that you can...
Not everything will delete though...

Step 2
Goto lower left corner and Right Click the Windows Icon...
Select Run where it's listed...
Enter prefetch...
Delete everything that you can.... Not everything will delete..

Goto Steam Client Settings>>Web Browser>> Delete Cookies and Cache
Goto Steam Client Settings>>Downloads>>Delete Cache

Most of my setting I've told you are about all of my ideas..
We can wait for Alia5 to Patch GloSC....
I also Use GloSC

MartyWF, I found these instructions from the creator of GLOsc about those VIGEM errors:

Use the latest available installer package (no pre-release)
If you are running Steam beta: Download the latest pre-release and extract and replace only "EnforceBindingDll.dll"

Do you know what he's talking about? Where would I "extract and replace only "EnforceBindingDll.dll" and what would I replace it with?

try installing the vigem driver manually. i had the same issue, nuget.vigem.org can't be registered as a repo in PowerShell

I had the same issue with RE7 biohazard. Used *Nicandris - link https://docs.vigem.org/#!vigem-bus-driver-installation-caveman-edition.md. Followed instructions and it fixed the ViGEm issue- overlay works perfect.
