I didn't think so.
I cuncur.... Therefore I shall buy .....
Actually I already have the xbox ones...
looking to upgrade...
Are you talking about the wired ones?
You can add another 10 dollars onto all of those Microsoft prices, because they were all 10 dollars more when they were released, making the wireless controller for Windows 70 DOLLARS at release, if you didn't already have a dongle.
The newer ones that force gamepad support rustle my jimmies something fierce.
Actually thats my biggest issue with Xpadder.... The profile issues from game to game.... This is one area that I hope is addressed with the Valve implementation.............
I highly doubt the Steam controller will support set selection, vastly decreasing the button customization compared to emulators. Unless of course it has an XInput mode or the emulators update to support it.
If you have some games that are made for mouse + keyboard, but you'd like to be among the first to try a sofa experience with them, you now have a good option.
My beloved xbox controller 3yrs of gaming will not be retired, many games wont require trackpad.
The Steam contoller for all other games that require mouse as hate keyboard/mouse gaming.
Infact I hope you can use both at the same time.
Your choice.... you don't buy, and I will... as I said.... I look for impovement, and you obviously don't.... And as tomk1, I will keep my xbox controllers as well, although they may get somewhat retired if this proves vastly superior....
Cup half full or half empty..... all in the perspective...
What? you absolutely DO need adapters and drivers.
The wireless xbox 360 controller needs a wireless dongle, which it doesn't come with.
The xbox one controller does not work wirelessly with PC, and you need to use a micro usb cable to play on PC with it (practically an adapter).
Just the same as this controller connecting via micro usb and bluetooth, every single wireless controller needs some sort of way to connect to the PC, don't be ridiculous.
Steam controller will support the steam OS and I'm sure support the next batch of OS when thoses come out.
So from a technincal stance the steam contoller is better because it will have development to correct issues with contoller interface with games ect.
However truth is, it is just like picking between iPhone or Nexus phone. They are both good, which design do YOU like more.
