D-pad left touchpad function doesn't seem to work

Last time I had an issue with the steam controller it was related to profiles not working because of a game update, or something along these lines.

Now it works but I can't seem to get the dpad directions to work at all. The left touchpad WORKS, it seems that it's just the arrow touch areas that don't.

Is this a software or hardware issue??

I'm sure they reacted before even in the input test screen.

Ingame , big picture mode , desktopmode or lizard mode ?

You also have the options to touch only , press or touch release.

Left touchpad WORKS, but not the arrows/directions. I can use it normally as an analog alternative. I tried in-game and desktop mode. Not big picture or whatever Lizard mode is. I WAS having varied controller issues recently, not just with the steam controller, so maybe more testing needs to be done.

I also put some stickers in it for protection, wonder if that's affecting it somehow :c

Touch only I did try, but it still wasn't activating the directions.

Hey, SOMEHOW the "no click" option worked! Why is this even happening tho?

I STILL can't run, the click on the right trackpad isn't working either, but at least it's a single issue instead of five. (actually, scratch that, central touch on left pad will also make me run now, but I STILL get no clicks.)
