Steam Controller (2015)

Weird jitter when using right trackpad
So I solved the battery issue, not much of an issue just the steam controller itself being weird, but I've noticed something else during my tests. In certain games, from my tests for example: Day's Gone, SULFUR, when trying to use the trackpad it seems there will be "ghost" movements.

I rotate to the right and for whatever reason the camera will quickly pan to the left and then finally to the right again. Takes a few uses of the trackpad to relocate but is pretty common in these kind of games.

I also tried playing Space Marines 2 with it, doesn't seem to have the same issue, however my sensitivity is toned down. much lower on that game. Could this be a hardware issue or just a high sensitivity issue? And if it is a high sensitivity issue, is there a way to mitigate this?

Days Gone has a default preset for the steam controller so I find it weird there seems to be issues.

Edit: Bluetooth connection is finnicky, plugging it in via a wired connection fixed the problem.

Maybe you have edgespin activated (edgespin can jitter sometimes towards left edge).

Or some kind of autaim stickyaim in the game menu (gamepads sometimes focus on certain objects , enemies when autoaim is active) ?

I could also be your finger not having a good contact or the gyro/trackpad is too sensitive and will pick up small movements.

Try calibrating the gyro and trackpads in the steam controller settings.

Make sure the trackpad and your fingers are clean, for better contact (your fingers should slide an not stick).

Try ingame mouse or joystick smoothing if available, or the smoothing in the steamcontroller settings.
