Switch Pro Controller recognized as Xbox 360 Controller
Both Windows and Steam recognize my Nintendo Pro Controller (Nyko Retro Core) as an Xbox 360 Controller. I've tried installing the Switch Drivers found in https://github.com/Davidobot/BetterJoy but that didn't work, not for Windows, and neither for Steam. What can I do?

That's not an official Switch Pro Controller.

I can't find a manual for this controller on the given link, nor on Nyko's website, but if this is basically a rebranded Nyko Core Controller in the style of a Gamecube controller, it doesn't have the gyroscope, vibration or NFC found in an official Switch Pro Controller. It's an Xinput device on PC with stripped-back features, you can't fake it to be a Switch Pro with software.

Ok, but then how do I make it so the computer registers the other 3 Extra Buttons? Because I want to use those buttons for shortcuts/inputs in a game but just can't.

...what three extra buttons?
Again, there's no manual online for me to better understand what the PC sees or expects. Dig up your toilet paper copy, you're on your own.

Rude, why are being so mean If I asked politely? There's no need to say that.

How about you stop playing victim and do the best you can and know your controller in and out? I can't help if you're vague with your problem, don't have documentation for your controller and don't step through what you're doing to solve your real problem.

If the PC sees the plugged-in knock-off Switch controller as Xinput, without trying to be a Switch Pro controller, nothing can be done. Turbo buttons can't be remapped; what other buttons are there that you need access to?

I watched a few tutorials on reddit and end up modding the controller with a simple hardware mod + a windows program to make it work, then again there You go being a passive aggressive person for no reason. Yes I bought a Controller that is in fact not a Pro NS Controller, but You could've used different words to express Your point without sounding like a j*rk.

People come here to ask for help, and sometimes (Yes) we are ignorant about the topics at hand, but be polite and educate people so they are better informed on the matter.
