It does do xinput and directinput, however that's when configured through Steam. We don't yet know if those settings are retained outside of Steam, or if it reverts back to standard HID kb/m (like the prototype did) whenever you leave Steam with it.
Its probably not gonna work the way you want it to. It will pair with your phone, but it will not be read as a controller but as keyboard and mouse. android will use it, but most android games are not designed to have keyboard mouse input. alot are designed for controller input, but this is not gonna technically be a controller. youd be far better off using a ps3 controller, plugging in a xbox controller with an adapter, or just buying a controller designed for this purpose.
I think so, but the touchpad will emulate an analog stick if it does; no mouse precision.

yeah,i just want to know steam controller whether or not suppest xinput and directinput,it is I will buy it for reasons.
Valve did say that the controller would be FULLY hackable, so I'd imagine that you could use the Steam controller via a wired/wireless connection, with the microUSB to USB cable or the USB wireless dongle going through an OTG adapter for your phone, as the controller doesn't have any Bluetooh functionality.
its not xinput though. its keyboard mouse. but you bring up a valid point someone could make some open source drivers for it. only the future will tell there. but as it is steam itself makes xinput. android will recognize it as keyboard mouse natively.
Can some having an android phone and the steam controller please use six axis or similar app and verify whether this setup works or not?

no
Steam Controller have Bluetooth
It's not standard Bluetooth. It's a proprietary, low-latency, custom Bluetooth incompatible with other Bluetooth devices.

No, the Steam Controller receiver isn't Bluetooth-compatible.

Getting the Steam Controller to work on an Android should be possible, but the support isn't there for obvious reasons. You will have to do something similar to what others have done to make it work with consoles and I have no clue what that would require.

You will have to become the first person to attempt it with the right tools and know-how to get your answer.

Hello. There's already a guy who tried this here: https://github.com/ynsta/steamcontroller but it's not finished yet for Android and from what he said it requires a rooted device
Well, it nows supports regular bluetooth: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=7728-QESJ-4420 and https://steamcommunity.com/games/353370/announcements/detail/2503317299191608387

However, it still defaults to KB+mouse mode. It would be interesting to see if sc-controller could be made to work on Android to change this. I will investigate...
Tried out the steam link app on android and updated my controller firmware to support BLE. And it worked out really well with Rocket League. Now I just have to find a clip mount on the controller that will hold my phone.

Yeah... but I think that the idea is also to be able to play mobile games with the steam controller... Like pubg mobile for example... or ShadowGun... or flappy bird things like that... can you do it if you have the app?

I tried connecting the controller with no app to play PUBG Mobile and it reads it like a mouse and ''keyboard'' but not as a controller, so no luck on that one... could'nt play
Just as an FYI, if you open the Steam Link mobile app and choose to pair a Steam Controller, the info screen says that you can enter regular Bluetooth mode on the Steam Controller by turning it on while holding Y.
