The Steam Controller comes with dual stage triggers allowing you to set an action to the digital trigger click at the end of the analog input. That feature would probably work significantly less good with longer travel distance on the pull.
I'm personally not so sure about that. It could be that I didn't spend enough time with it, but it felt more like something that I would have to always be consious about. A possible solution could be replacing the spring with a stronger one, if it uses one.
A longer travel analog trigger would also allow more zones to be set and used. i.e. short pull bound to A long pull bound to X leaving the digital click to be used as Left Click.
It would be nioce to see more driving games focused tips and info in gui for configuration of SC.
There I said it!
No problem. It's a valid reason. I don't hold those sentiments however and enjoy the triggers as they are. Although I will say, I don't play many games that necessitate a lot of these neat features that Valve packed into this controller. (dual stage triggers, touch menus, gyro, etc.)
