You can bind sprint to any key you want. You can even bind sprint to every damn button on the whole controller, don't do what games tell you, choose your own sprint button!
For w/e reason they didnt feel the need to allow that functionality in normal steam mode. Really hope they eventually fix that as I LOVE this controller but im not big on "big picture mode".
I tried both regular and bigpicture mode, but it seems to be treated like a keyboard/mouse. Am I missing something here?
Holding down A runs pressing it repeatedly sprints.
Note: to get a reasonable sensitivity, you have to turn up the in-game controller sensitivity settings all to max and you have to increase the steam controller sensitivity as well. Otherwise turning the camera 180 takes many lifts of the thumb. I still haven't gotten it where I like and I am hoping they make it easier to adjust settings on teh fly with games like GTA that don't like BPM. Good luck.
