Steam Controller

Steam Controller

Which button do you press in order to run/sprint in Grand Theft Auto
I couldn't figure out which one. Is there some specific set up I need to do first?

Thank you,

One of the greatest features of this Controller is that it is fully customizable.

You can bind sprint to any key you want. You can even bind sprint to every damn button on the whole controller, don't do what games tell you, choose your own sprint button!

If you pick the default gamepad with precision aim template. A is run just like it would be on a 360 controller
Launch the game from big picture, you'll get a full explanation of your current profile from the steam overlay and you'll have the ability to fully customize anything you dont like.

For w/e reason they didnt feel the need to allow that functionality in normal steam mode. Really hope they eventually fix that as I LOVE this controller but im not big on "big picture mode".

Do you have any issue with the game not recognize it as an Xbox 360 controller?
I tried both regular and bigpicture mode, but it seems to be treated like a keyboard/mouse. Am I missing something here?

Some configs have changed their sprint to the grips on the back. Though I changed mine for voice coms.

Holding down A runs pressing it repeatedly sprints.

I got my controller to work with GTA V by first entering BPM and selecting the rockstar default controller config. Then I exit BPM mode. Then I made sure steam overlay was enabled and enabled for GTA V. Then I launched the game from the desktop. If BPM is running, then the steam controller was always in desktop mode and promptly froze GTA when I alt-tabbed to try and fix it.

Note: to get a reasonable sensitivity, you have to turn up the in-game controller sensitivity settings all to max and you have to increase the steam controller sensitivity as well. Otherwise turning the camera 180 takes many lifts of the thumb. I still haven't gotten it where I like and I am hoping they make it easier to adjust settings on teh fly with games like GTA that don't like BPM. Good luck.

Oh and the rockstar default setting has sprint as A and also as the left back paddle. If it doesn't work then your profile is probably not loading properly. Possibly due to the reasons I mention above.
