Use TocaEdit Xbox 360 Controller Emulator
Hi,
I have tried to use the x360ce for the steam controller but I could not select the controller.
I even tried to run the programm in BP and I have set the controller configuration to gamepad.

But as soon as I have opened the programm, the controller simulated the mouse and the only Buttons that worked correct, were the left and right trigger.

Is there a way, that the programm recognizes the steam controller as a normal controller?

Why? I mean seriously... why?

Every feature the 360ce would offer you is already build in with the Steam Controllers FIrmware. You already have full customization and much more in depth customization than anything you could achieve with that program.

Since it is not made to work with the features the Steam Controller offers you probably won't get it to work.... but well you do not need to.

unless it allowed mouse to right joystic velocity emulation that is :P Kidding, only sorta. Ya not worth it besides if the overlay doesnt work niether will the steam controller. Maybe some enterprising coder could make a non steam game that EXE that is 100% transparent though that could be useful make the overlay work with anything even, photoshop? Not that you would.
doesn't pick up on J2K either

the benefit of joy2key is that you can press a button to shift between buttons

this means you can have A to shift between weapons rather than a scroll wheel

tiny extra help but not much.

You... can already do that. Either use the in-game "cycle weapon" command, or if there isn't one, set A to mousewheel up or down (whichever way you prefer to cycle through weapons) and turn on turbo so it repeats the command as you hold the button down. Tweak the repeat rate to your liking.

If you're using gamepad mode and the game has a previous/next weapon input, set A to be whichever you want and again, set turbo on and adjust the repeat rate as desired.

♥♥♥♥♥, that's actually a good point :v:

I guess the ONE use using j2k would be is maybe a far faster turbo, but I can't name 1 game that would ever benefit from that really, it'd really have no use at all

Scrolling arcade shooters.... I have many in my catalog, I love those games and they would certainly benefit from faster turbo but also they really need a button by button turbo as well. since we just got Mouse-Joystick maybe now I can start on crusading for individual button turbo settings.

The reason I would want to do it is to use Controller Companion as the desktop keyboard emulation for the Steam Controller doesn't work for me.
