Wasn't that what they told us from the start?

Well, they said they would make it. When a company says that they dont actually mean they do the manufacturing from start to finish themselves. The best we get is "Assembled in the USA". Also seems like there is little to no human input during the whole process.

I have worked with manufacturers before, this is absolutely not normal or expected from any company especially one in the USA. It just seems Valve just went with it and didnt give a care at all what it took. That is SUPER respectable.

Both my SC and Link boxes just say Assembled in the USA.

Well, obviously they dont make the PCBs and such. But it looks like they even do the soldering from what I could tell. I wonder how far they really go. Wave soldering equipment and a big pick and place machine wouldn't by more complicated than those insane robot assemblers they are using. Now I want a tour.

Hey VALVE! Can I come by and see the factory you guys got going?! PLEEEEEEEEASE!

I certainly believe that eating anything they are producing there might have adverse effects.
