EDIT: or something related to ur motherboard?
As others have said, this is generally tied to an issue with software, but there could be other culprits such as specific peripherals that conflict with other devices. An example would be logitech devices (G13) tend to render other gaming devices unfunctional. Yet, even if that is the case, there are resolutions that can be taken to resolve the issue.
Make sure to include your complete specifications and any devices used for reference. I'll subscribe to this duscussion and await a response. Good luck and have a nice day.
Here are the specs:
I am using a Zowie FK2 (no special gaming drivers) and a poker 3 (which also has no special gaming drivers). Also have a Blue Snowball with no drivers and my headset is the beyerdynamic DT770 pros 250 ohms.
I really want to get this problem fixed, as I am trying to fix all the little problems with my PC that have been annoying me (Got my front IO working on my case, and fixed my headphones quality).
I know it definetly a driver issue and can be solved within device manager I just have no idea what I am doing or what to look for and fix.
Thanks for the response.
Edit: The difference in that list is I swapped out the GTX 770 for a ASUS GTX 980, and I am now running windows 10, have three of those same monitors, and am using powerline ethernet adapters instead of a wifi adapter.
Or rather, the issue is with something else other than the controllers. Perhaps the keyboard? That's some swanky keyboard you have. Looks like you can program the keys at a hardware level (directly inputting codes for key responses into the keyboard without using a PC software package/driver as intermidiary).
Could it be that the keyboard creators, clearly having a gaming market in mind as part of their target audience, allow you to allocate controller button functions to keyboard keys? If so that could be a factor.
Try it with a more average keyboard, just to see (borrow if you don't have an old one). Does everything work? That would be a clue.
You might find better advice on any support forum you can find for your keyboard. Especially as it affects Xbox controllers as well. I bet others with your keyboard have had this issue.
No it is not just that keyboard. It has been a problem for as far as I can remember, and I plugged in another keyboard and I am typing on it right now. I am 90% sure it is an issue with drivers, and something that can be solved within device manager. I just have no idea how to use it.
I can't guide u on how to do this because I don't own a controller so u'll have to go find the discussion that pointed out what to uninstall as Steam controller is identified as something else within device manager (I read it somewhere but forgot where the discussion is right now)....
I think this issue might be even cumbersome than just reinstalling the Steam controller drivers as I read about driver conflicts that users had pointed out.....which again I can't link since I'm subscribed to so many and have read so many.....
Another idea, try putting the keyboard and controllers on different USB controllers. So KB on USB3 and controllers on USB2 for example. Less chance of one affecting the other?
