Steam Controller

Steam Controller

Geforce Experience and MoonLight Streaming Support
Currently in addition to the Steam Link, several android devices are capable to run Steam in Big picture mode via streaming.

The problem that arises is that all those devices can use any Usb gamepad, such as the Xbox One controller to play, but ironically not the Steam Controller. This is because it behaves in a different way and It is not recognized as a standard USB controller on those platforms.

Nvidia streaming technology can implement the code that Valve Uses, or at least place the information online. Several XDA developers are trying to implement this feature, but I think if Valve solves this more Steam Controller can be sold.

Actually, having built a DIY streaming / home entertainment box, I will simply say that: If I can plug a steam controller into that box and have it work via Moonlight (how I stream games), I will buy one. Until then, I'll just continue to rely on an old wireless Xbox controller.

I'm hoping Valve will allow their controller to work via Moonlight (or provide their own streaming client installable to RemixOS, Android, or Linux ARM) because I'd like to see if it's viable for MMORPGs.

I used moonlight for a bit until I got my link, just wondering if you could use virtualhere to pass the steam controller through via the USB on Android like the link does with my hotas.
Also I remember that moonlight does have a Linux client and I am quite sure it runs on ARM as I have seen it used on the pi.
Could be worth considering that route provided you can find a suitable Linux image for your Android device.

I'll look into virtualhere. This could also be a solution to using my RC aircraft controller when I stream Phoenix RC Flight Simulator.

Well, just tried is using the interface for my RC controller. Phoenix flight simulator says it cannot detect a USB device. So, it doesn't appear to work. It appears the app goes on my "android device" and client installs to the Windows computer. It doesn't appear to have any effect what so ever.

Ok, searching the forums said something about manually entering in the computer's IP address. The only effect seems to be that moonlight won't shut down cleanly and the chrome browser has stopped working entirely (maybe coincidence).

I'll keep searching the forums but, for now, just uninstalling.
