honestly even something like dark souls works well with the steam controller.
in strategy games like Civ, TR and even blood bowl setting both pads as a mouse give you really awesome control over the mouse pointer.
I will warn you certain games dont work. an example would be WWE 2k15... using the steam controller has the game thinking two controllers are plugged in. the steam controller moves both wrestlers lol. its funny but sadly thats the one game that i swapped to my xb controller to play.
again as stated above... dont play fighting games with it. i use a Hori fighter stick its better. or just use a xb pad.
Rocket League is also very nice, even if it is a tiny improvement. When I play, I never move the camera, I just had to put the boost, jump and the "X" button on the grips and bumpers and it feels very good too.
Elite: Dangerous (trackpads work really well for flight.. Gyro for fine aiming)
Divinity: Original Sin (suspect any isometric, turnbased RPG is good with the SC though)
Sniper Elite 2
Arma 2,3 + DayZ standalone (Gyro + iron sights is just too much fun)
No lag or stuttering during moving AND looking.
Also the F710 is as sensitive as the Steampad.
Maybe i didn´t find the right settings for the SC until now.
