Portal 2: not working

Hi,
I tried to use the controller for Portal 2, I could change the settings, but only the Steam Button works in game, I can't even start a new game because I can't navigate or do anything.

Yeah, this is a known issue, but no known solution yet. Works fine for some people, others it works until they access the overlay, and others like us, it doesn't work at all.

I do have a running theory of a common culprit though, what operating system are you using?

For me it works at least if the controller is wired up to my PC directly.

I have the same issue. But it worked after I clicked something with my mouse.

Works as expected with the latest steam and portal update.

Still not working here. I'm hoping I'm correct and it's Windows 10 as the culprit. Already had plans to drop back to 7 this weekend so I'll see if Portal 2 is working once I'm off this buggy mess of an OS.

Portal 2 is working for me now. There was an update for Half Life 2 as well, but that now tells me "Executable is missing". Valve fixes one thing and breaks another... *sigh*

I am on Windows 10 as well.
