Issue with Broforce
I have been trying to get the Steam Controller to work properly with Broforce but the stick is really buggy with the game especially if I hold it in a direction or multiple directions for a couple of seconds (like you would in normal play) my character gets pretty much out of control. I am basically forced to use the left touch pad as a directional pad which is hard since the buttons are so spread out on it. I already tried messing with the stick in the controller settings but nothing seems to fix it. Does anyone here have played Broforce with his Steam Controller and has the same issues as me or similar ones? Or maybe even a suggestion that might fix my issue?

Does no one own Broforce and the Steam Controller? lol

Hey I've been using it with bro force and it worls fine for me. I'm using the left touch pad to control my character by just touching it, not pressing in the button. It works pretty good especially with the haptic feedback enabled. My stick works fine too. Have you tried to select the reccommended gamepad template?

I am using the reccommended gamepad template yes. Atleast that helps me figure out that it is on my end. I am trying to close some apps like Geforce Experience and other stuff to see if that is what causes this delay with my stick.

Still have the same issue, even when I close Nvidia Experience, Razer Cortex, Raptr, Displayfusion, Logitech Gaming Software, Origin, Softether VPN, Hamachi and pretty much everything else I have running becides Steam and Broforce.

Sorry for the late reply ~

Could you make sure that in the controller configuration, the stick is set to "Joytick Move" under "Style of Input"?

Also, does this only happen in Broforce, or is it for every game?

Yeah, I made sure that the stick is set to "Joystick Move" and it still has a delay as soon as I do multiple directions after each other. Like I would go and if I hold it in one direction for a bit my character would keep walking that way eventhough I let lose of the stick. And no every other game I tried so far doesn't really have that issue, I tried: Nidhogg, GTA V and Rocket League maybe some others but those worked perfectly fine just need some getting used to for GTA V

Hmm, very weird. Seems like it coulld be the game itself causing the issue, but I think I have an idea that might work. Try changing your style of input to "Directional Pad" and map the arrow keys on your keyboard that control your character accordingly. Hopefully that will work.

That didn't work for me either. Maybe it has something to do with my keyboard layout being German, that is the only thing I can think of which might cause issues.

The issue seems to have fixed itself (or with a recent Steam Beta Update). Everything works fine now and I haven't really changed anything software-wise or hardware-wise.

Try configuring it in BPM and then launching it in dekstop/BPM. Sometimes for me it works in BPM mode and sometimes in desktop mode. No idea why but sometimes I have to switch for the SC to work.
