Fifa 16

How can I use the controller in Fifa 16? Fifa 16 and my PC recognize the controller as mouse. So I can´t choose the controller setup in Fifa 16. Can I change somewhere, that my PC and other games recognize the controller as controller?

same problem for me - even if i add fifa 16 to my steam library and change the config to standard gamepad, it won't work - i think it's because of the additional launcher window at the start of fifa.. i hope there will be a patch or workaround soon

Update: recently it started working out of nowhere.. but now it "emulates" 2 controllers at once.. very strange :D

Update 2: restartet computer, doesn't work anymore =/

It's really bad news for me... because I wanted to buy this controller for FIFA, but know, if you say that controller doesn't work in FIFA... it doesn't make a sense :(

It may work, I just did not make it work. I am sure that there are some smart people who will figure this out sooner or later :D

"Steam overlay works on FIFA 16!

It's very easy to do. There is just one step you have to make sure you do for it to work.

Add fifa16.exe via the "Add A Non-Steam game" option in Steam.
Make sure Origin is CLOSED at this point. Completely. This is a necessary step or it will not work. You also have to make sure that Origin In-game (basically the Origin Overlay) is turned off. Its in Application Settings in the Origin client.
Run FIFA via Steam. Origin will open and the box to start the game/settings etc will show.
Click Play Game. The Steam Overlay works. FPS counter, screenshots, Steam friends, steam browser, etc. all accessible.

If you run FIFA via Steam with Origin open, the connection to the game is lost when you press "Play Game", for some reason it stays connected when you start the game with Origin closed first."

Are you sure it works for you? I followed it step by step, and yes the Steam overlay now works while playing FIFA, but the Steam Controller still only works as a keyboard/mouse and not a game controller.

yep i'm sure. did you change the settings of the controller for fifa to normal gamepad?

Works for me but fifa 16 show me that´s i´m playing with two pads... any idea?

I had the same problem a while ago.. but not anymore..don't know what changed, I'm sorry :/

Yea I figured that out after my comment haha. But I'm getting the same problem as other people. It's registering as two gamepads so all inputs are doubled and it makes FIFA impossible to play. I hope someone knows a solution.
