Not as far as I know.
If one can rebind keyboard and mouse you might be able to do something with that, but SC in "lizard mode" isn't detected as a controller.
All of the bindings are done through the Steam client. This allows options that you could never achieve on a standard controller. Problem is without Steam the controller is very basic in its capabilities.
no need for the logi software to run for the macros to work across different pcs
it would be nice if the next gen steam controller supported something like that
or even something like the xbox, use your controller to log into your steam acct
Valve could make an steamapp for that purpose if they wanted to.
Problem is valve doesn´t sell any games on mobile (neither low spec pc games or mobile games) so far.
There would be zero profit for valve unless they started selling games on that hypothetical mobile app.
Would be really neat to add non steam game profile on the phone , it would open up SC and other controllers to be used on mobile or anything running android like smart TVs.
Most mobile controllers lack in quality and have weird buttonconfigs depending on the game.
I realized that since I wrote the message x)
Although I've discovered that the firmware file is actually easy to access and reflash, and that there is an open-source project where someone managed to make the SC behave like a Switch Pro Controller.
Thus, I think it would be possible to write a firmware that makes the SC behave like a standard controller.
...
Problem is, I don't know how to code, and have to focus on my studies right now, but I do hope that in a year or so, I'll be able to look into it.
That would be really neat. Especially if a person could make a firmware and software that allowed the controller to work on all major consoles.
Did you manage to start on a new firmware?
Would be awesome if you were able to figure it out.
