Steam Controller

How you get EPSXE tor work with the steam controller GUIDE
Alright for latest epsxe do this.

Get yourself a copy of epsxe latest and unpack it.
http://www.epsxe.com/
get a copy of pokopom - xinput plugin and extract it to the plugins folder
http://ngemu.com/threads/pokopom-xinput-pad-plugin.145013/
create a inis folder under epsxe folder

go here http://ngemu.com/threads/peteopengl2tweak-tweaker-for-peteopengl2-plugin-w-gte-accuracy-hack.160319/ and grab latest one (as of now gpuPeteOpenGL2Tweak22.bin.zip)
unpack it in the plugins folder
setup epsxe to use PeteOpenGL2 Tweaks 2.2 (name might change with later updates)
make sure you have Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.9 (in plugins folder)
http://www.pbernert.com/html/gpu.htm#OGL2

Run epsxe once and check so game starts fine.
now enter epsxe\inis and open "gpuPeteOpenGL2Tweak.ini"

find the section at the bottom labeled [PadPlugin] and change the 2 lines below to this
Port1 = plugins\padPokopom.dll
Port2 = plugins\padPokopom.dll

now add epsxe as a non steam game and fire up BPM. Configure your steam controller to game pad mode and enjoy latest epsxe with your steam controller.

keys 1 to 4 should work as analog toggle. Haven't tried this as I have no dualshock compatible games.

Hey, Why dodnt you made a genuine guide? in the guides section. I think it would be easier to keep it up to date and to edit it as the steps change and MUCH easier to find. Also makes a good place to add things as people find problems and you or other find workarounds to just add to a section. I have 3 guides on there and I did them just so I didnt have to retype everything everytime someone had a problem I covered.

Anyone else wants OP to do this? I have cast my vote, plus one this if you want Hulken to do it. :)

quite frankly because I dont use epsxe but prefer mednafen. Just did this because I was bored. Im not going to be monitoring the progress of steam controller/epsxe since I think mednafen is a much better solution al in al. Anyone can "steal" my work and make a proper guide if they like.

I may just be motivated to build a guide for this myself then when I can replace my motherboard and processor as they are DEAD. :( This is also the reason I havent gotten back on any of my other guides in weeks either. I will say I do appreciate the you doing the research and testing as well as the go ahead to make it myself if I choose to do so. Good on ya buddy! :eng:

I'm putting one together at the moment to cover some of the more awkward emulators, I hope you don't mind me including this.

Make sure you dont forget PJ64 and the whole controller off before you start the first game thing... I will leave it up to you on that front then. And good idea. :)

Nope just glad that I could be helpful.

The newer 2.0 ePSXe requires nothing special at all and all included video plugins work out of the box. Just thought someone looking here might want to know.
