Remove Right Analogue Stick Click Function?
How do you disable the Right Analogue Stick Clicking function? It interferes in intense moments because I accidentally place slight pressure on the right stick. I previously sorted this but somehow Steam cancelled the input I created when they updated Steam.

Just remove the input entirely. Unbind it.

and export the config as template, so that you can just load it again.

I am playing Apex Legends and they automatically assign a command to the right analogue stick click function. The only way to prevent the right stick click function being recognised is to remove the recognition in Steam settings but I cannot find the way to do that anymore.

The cog icon, then "remove command".

Or just rebind it to someting else.

Thank you - I tried that and it does not work anymore. That is what I previously did when it worked. The Steam interface updated and now it doesn't work. I don't know if I did something somewhere else by accident to prevent that input from now working. Steam should be able to explain this to me but they do not offer direct support on this. Thank you for offering that explanation though.

Did you try to do the same in the game itself?
Reassigning whatever function you are triggering with R3, i mean.

Apex Legends guarantees a command is assigned to the right analogue stick. I have rearranged commands but that does not prevent the right analogue stick from triggering a command if clicked accidentally.

Maybe try Steam beta then. It should work, it literally unbinds the R3 button as if it doesn't exist, so even if R3 is hard coded into the game, pressing it shouldn't actually do anything since - as far as the game is concerned - you didn't press anything.
So it might be a bug in the steam input thing.

That's exactly what it was before - as if the R3 button didn't exist. And then something changed somehow when the Steam interface updated. I will search for Steam Beta. I haven't heard of it before, thank you for the suggestion. If you know where I can use Steam Beta please give me a pointer if possible.

Note: I think I just updated to Steam Beta - thank you.

It's in the settings. Did it work?
Sometimes when there's a bug, switching to and from the beta helps fix it.

I went to Beta I think. I signed up for the latest version of Steam and it updated. I did not notice a change and I don't know how to switch back from Beta. I think I changed the R3 to long hold in Settings so that it is not as easy to deliver the command so that is at least something. But to remove the command of clicking R3 - I haven't managed to input that so far. Thank you for helping on this. Perhaps "playability" will be fine no R3 is on long hold..

BTW - I was always looking in Settings. It was how I managed to switch R3 off initially until Steam's interface updated. It is where I went back to but any changes I made did not make a difference. So long hold might be my best possible outcome.

Steam settings -> Interface -> Client beta participation
There's a dropdown menu, choose either steam beta or no beta. That's how you switch back and forth. Each time the client will restart and update.

It's weird you can't unbind the button, but yeah, long press might work as it won't immediately trigger.

Delete your Steam download cache. I had the same issue after the new update, but clearing the cache fixed it. To do that, go to settings, downloads, and then "clear cache". You will have to log back in, but that isn't a big deal.

Thank you - I did not see your reply. Unfortunately I have also tried this and it did not make any change. I appreciate your efforts. It is a lot more than Steam have tried - also known as zero. I will likely just have to accept game play will be bad or move on from this game.
