Steam Controller

Scuf infinity
Has anyone gotten this controller to work on PC? just got my way too expensive custom and it doesnt work. Ive tried manually installing the drivers even though windows 10 should have it automatically now. I also have the xbox accessories app and it wont pick up the controller when i connect with a usb.

Considering this controller has millions of sales and is intended largely for PC, of course people have. The controller sends keyboard and mouse inputs, not Xinput. If you want to play a game with Xinput, you need to add it to your Steam library as a non-Steam game and configure it from there.

I am not sure if this is a serious question or not. I mean, it is posed as a legitimate question but it's like asking if a USB KB/M will work with PC or is an N64 controller will work with an N64. Inexplicable is the only way I can describe this.

What Scuff Infinity has to do with SC?

It is really strange. The controller works and is detected by the PC literally as soon as you plug it in via USB.

He's asking about the Scuf Controller (modified xbox), not Steam Controller. I think he doesn't realize this forum is for the Steam Controller, not a controller that you use in Steam. But no, I'm not familiar with Scuf, it SHOULD use xinput like a standard xbox controller.

After reading the post again, OP just wasted his time here rather than going to xbox or scuf forum. He might assumed that "Steam Controller" is a system of using controller on Steam rather than SC itself.

Yeah, you're right. I had did a mediocre Google search on "scuf infinity" and for some reason I thought it was some video game. But after realizing it's a controller, you're definitely right.

Heh, those modded controllers for way too much $. I built a bunch of those kinda things. 360 controllers with turbo fire, trigger stops, extra grip buttons, LEDs, custom cases, paint jobs, vibrators, nipple clamps... They are too easy to mess up if you don't know what you are doing. Maybe the guy who made the OPs just messed it up and sent it out anyway without testing it properly.

Reminds me of a time I had a customer one time that went all irate because I didn't notice one of the 12 LEDs in his mod controller didn't work. I missed it. I even offered to open it back up and fix it real quick, woulda taken maybe 10-15 minutes, instead he threw it at me after screaming for half an hour and stomped off.

Makes me wonder why I never got back into the customer service/retail field again. :P

I feel you, bro. Try working in IT support department. This video sums up my very short experience working there.

Oh man, could I give you guys stories that would blow your MINDS! I actually had to draw my sidearm, yes I mean a click-click-boom handgun, one time. I think the security camera footage is still on my YouTube channel from so many years ago. Dude was pissed because $6.99 for a complete boxed and sealed genesis game was too much for him, it was more than he thought it should be. Told the dude he could get the loose cart for $3 but that wasn't good enough for him. Ended up punching and breaking a double pane laminate glass door and paying me $1200 for the damages and got a felony on his record. The whole time his wife and 2 kids were in the car right outside that same door begging him to stop as we drew our guns, my brother and I. This dude had to be on something for sure. Good times! :D

Disagreement starts at about 2:40 with my brother, I am the big guy in the back with the vest. at the end of the video, you can just make out my brother with his 1911. There are other camera angles too. And the footage is super speed. If I had the original footage I would go and make a better video and set that to music or something.

The controller vibrates when plugged in and the light turns on when pressed. I've been told it should work automatically and I dont know what xinput is. New to PC gaming and I figured I'd start off right but this is a real bummer

You should probably post on an appropriate forum where you'll get more help, as this is the Steam Controller forums.
