Does the Steam Controller come with a micro USB cable?

I've been reading articles and forums about the Steam Controller for an hour since I really need a controller for PC that is wired (not fan of wireless at all since I need to change batteries or recharge the thing) and my DS3 only works sometimes and just requires some fiddling with to get it work. But unfortunately everything I've read is a bit contradicting and confusing since some seem to complaing about how there is no USB cable, some asking about if you can recharge the batteries with the(?) USB cable and some are just some silly questions regarding the cable. I haven't seen a solid statement saying "It does come with a micro USB cable" and the store page doesn't seem to say anything about the cable other than the controller can be used using a micro USB cable.

So does the controller come with a micro USB cable? All of the ones I have at home are either broken in some way, or are just simply way too short.

I got (~1.5m) cable with SC back in 2015, dunno if something was changed since.
You can't recharge your batteries the way described.

I figured that you couldn't do something like that, sounds like a silly design since you could put batteries instead of rechargables inside. And I hope that's still the case, will pick one up and hope it comes with one.
