FIFA 17

Hello! can someone help with settings on FIFA 17? I read so much tutorials for FIFA 16 here, on Steam, but all of them don't working. I can't understand how to make FIFA think that Steam Controller is controller, not keyboard and mouse. Settings in Steam for FIFA17.exe, to make as gamepad, as 360 settings doesnt help. No one button is working in game. But I don't want to make settings as keyboard-mouse, I need Steam Controller to be as gamepad, with XYAB, sticks etc. I tried so much variants to make it, but Steam controller don't work as XBOX 360 controller in FIFA. Thanks in advance.

1. Turn off Origin overlay and close Origin (make sure Origin is not running)
2. Add non steam game shortcut in Steam
3. Turn on Steam Controller and right-click FIFA 17 and set gamepad x360 template
4. Press Play on Steam, Origin will startup (thats normal) and FIFA 17 Launcher will load and press Play.

I have FIFA 17 Demo working on my Steam Controller and FIFA 16.

Don't working.
I made as you said. FIFA finds SC as keyboard+mouse, buttons dont work as needed, LB, RB dont work, B dont work. Start working as B, A working as A, RT, LT dont work. x360 template dont work as it must work... And I cant change settings in FIFA, because game dont see other buttons except A, Start...

A, and Origin overlay dont shut off, I off-ed it in settings of Origin, and in FIFA settings, but anyway it can be opened, and Steam overlay dont open.

Try this first. Go into Big Picture and add gamepad template x360 and open FIFA 17 from Big Picture mode and Hold Steam Controller home button and minimize Big Picture Mode.

Also I'm using Steam beta client. Try using beta version of Steam.

Eh, man. I am user of beta version too. Fifa is working as desktop configuration, I changed it to x360 too, but game dont see steam controller at all, and there is no reaction from game. And also, there is no steam overlay in fifa...
FIFA doesnt recognize SC at all.

When you run FIFA 17, Steam overlay should appear on your bottom-right corner. Make sure it shows up.

Goto Steam > Settings > In-Game | and make sure the first three option is checked.

If that fails I have no idea. I have FIFA 16/17 and Unravel working with my Steam Controller.

Also did you try to go into Steam overlay once in-game? You should be able to once the game is running and press Home button and configure SC template.

And double check if you are actually using x360 gamepad template. Don't use community ones but use the Steam template called "Gamepad".

Yeah, options are powered on. And when I am pressing Home button, FIFA only makes in windows, and there is no overlay, but I am hearing sound of Steam overlay. So, when I am pressing it another time, fifa became fullscreen. And yes, I dont see in bottom right corner overlay, as I see it in another games. I even launched Origin through Steam, but this is not helped me. And yes, I use gamepad template from steam. Fifa launches and SC working as in desktop settings, with mouse and clicking left and right button... I am using AMD card, may be this is problem...

I have Nvidia card. Not sure if AMD card is the issue. Only thing you can do now is use Desktop Configure and mapped with FIFA 17 keybaord input. Thats the only way around it for you.

Maybe try to update your gfx card drivers.

Yeah, seems like. I tried to launch FIFA in window, with different resolutions, but anyway, steam overlay doesnt shows up. And anyway, Origin overlay showes it message about SHIFT+F1 every time, but I off'ed this option in settings of Origin and FIFA.

I tried to play with SC in Unravel, from my Origin and all it is working. Steam overlay doesnt shows up, but SC working as I made it. But FIFA is using Desktop configuration, what the hell...

I notice FIFA 17 Demo, the training button hints aren't accurate. The hints are all wrong when they show you buttons how to play. I think the demo has bugs. Have you tried FIFA 16 Demo to see if that is the case?

Oh I forgot to mention. Go into your Origin Library and right-click on game and game properties and uncheck "Enable Origin in Game for xxxx"

Also opt out of beta for Origin.

Yeah, and I did that thing, in every game I disable origin overlay, but it is working anyway...
So, FIFA 16 demo working in that way as 17. Opens fifaconfig, than I tap play. And in FIFA game, SC working as desktop configuration as in fifaconfig.
I shutted off the option in Big Picture, where it writes, that Steam allow using Desktop Configuration in pre-game settings. So I shutted it off, and then FIFA doesnt see SC in game at all...
But when I allow using Desktop Config in pre-game settings, FIFA see SC as only Desktop Config.

Do you have any wireless dongle plugged in? I have to unplug my Bluetooth dongle cuz it conflict with my SC.

Also I notice the new Origin client reset your old settings and Origin overylay is turned on by default. See if your Origin overlay is turned on in settings. I have Origin overlay turned on now. Maybe turn on overylay and disable overlay from game properties.

No, I dont have any bluetooth things. This is 100%... Strange things with FIFA, all other games working, and only FIFA not...
I turned off overlay, when Origin updated, I noticed that too, and turned off, and again on and off. Tried everyting, but it is writes about shift+f1 every time, and it is working anyway.
Steam overlay dont shows up in every Origin game. It is shows up, but I dont see it, only sound of Steam overlay.

Only thing left to do is reinstall Origin. After that I don't know what to recommend.

This my my setup. I have Origin client and games folder installed into different folder separated. Try that.
