Turning a toggle walk button into stick movement
Hi guys,

in Guild Wars 2 the CapsLock Button is for toggling the walk. If you press it you'll walk instead of running. You press it again you run again.

With the new activators I thought I can achieve this by moving the left analog stick very slow to walk.

I tried the following setup:
- Left stick is configured as a D-Pad and set deadzone to minimum
- In the advanced settings I configured an inverted outer ring
- I created a "Start press" activator which presses the caps lock button (Toggle: Off)
- Furthermore I created an "End Press" activator which presses the caps lock button again (Toggle: Off)

Sometimes if you move the stick too fast to the max the caps lock is still enabled wich inverts what I wanted to achieve (Move a little bit -> Run, Move the stick to the max -> Walk).
Do I miss something?

I'm using the beta version of Steam.

I guess setup like that just works bad with outer ring... Try to play with delays, it may reduce the glitch. It may do not.

Experimented with the delay and tried the "Regular Press" event instead "Start Press". Not really a way to fix the glitch.

So I have to rely on 3rd party software (for example AutoHotkey) to change the caps lock toggle to a press & hold function which I then can use on my inverted outer ring without the activators.

I thought the Start Press and End Press were intended to change a Toggle to a Hold Key. It shouldn't be a problem if you want to use it on the outer ring function to simulate a gamepad feeling.

Start press and end press DO change a toggle to a hold but the problem is that you are binding it to a particular percentage on a stick press so it's sometimes getting lost. I've had this kind of stuff pop up on xpadder too when trying to get toggles and holds to work properly for sticks. Unfortunately there's not really an easy way around it because of how the range of the stick is being used to activate keybindings ONLY at specific percentage range on the stick.
