You are kidding: no "+" and PAUSE/BREAK key?

Some old games and newer ones use the PAUSE button.

Now I wanna play Supreme Commander 2 and the PAUSE button is hard coded and I can not bind this button in the SC configuration. What a joke......

Use the autohotkey tool

and this code for key p:

p::SendInput, {break}

Edit3: missing "+" key, not the "+" on the keypad.

Edit4: And *-* does not work here :(

How about the SC can recognize the current kb-layout dear SC devs?

You can not change the button bindings in sup2.

I assume the pause button is ESC, just assign ESC to whatever button on SC.

Stay with me now. Whatever key in said game activates pause, map that to the SC button of your choice.

It's also important to make sure the SC template is on KB/Mouse.

He's saying it's the Pause Break key on the keyboard which unfortunately is not available in the Steam bindings, nor is Scroll Lock.

In ..\Microsoft Games\Age of Mythology\startup\ add this line at the end of gamex.con

OPEN IT USING NOTEPAD and write following lie in it

map("F12", "world", "pause()")

Then press F12 to pause and resume the game

They used to have pause/break and all those other keys but they took em' out to make room for the steam music controls. I did just recently find myself in need of the pause/break key. Thankfully, even tho the game didn't allow me to remap it normally, I could change it in the ini. I think I should put that on my big list now that I am thinking about it. By no means a deal breaker but it is kinda silly for those keys not to be here. I also found a situation, with the same game, that needed the MENU button. I know there are other shortcuts that can be used instead of certain keys like the Windows key. Maybe there is one for Pause/Break or MENU?

Actually, whoever made the change knew that this key is nearly never used. It took me a year to find one game that even used it at all. Still, no reason to remove it but it is hardly a real issue.
