Help Request: Xbox One controller: R3 button works with every game except the one I play...GTA V
Pushing the R3 button (look behind) does nothing in this game, but it works fine on other games. I've gone into controller settings both in-game and in Steam and I *think* everything looks OK, but I am no expert. I've calibrated my controller, I've updated everything I can think of (windows, the XBOX One controller, the game, Rockstar client, Steam, etc). I cannot get the R3 button to do anything in GTA V. Help?

Rockstar made a mistake on their official config by forgetting to bind the R3 button. It's a very easy fix though.

Open up the configuration and go to Joystick Move on the right stick.
For "Click Action", bind RS Click.

Thanks,

When you say "Open up the configuration", can you tell me which configuration you mean? I've come across too many controller options, and I think I must be doing something incorrectly. Can you help me navigate to the right place?
Thanks.

probably in steams controller mapping
library -> select game -> controller config
select controller (if you have multiple controllers), right stick, click action -> to r3 on the controller image to map it as RS CLICK -> back -> done

I don't have this option. Here's what I get.

I select the game, right click, Properties, Controller. I then get options to override regular settings for GTA and to turn on/off Steam Input Status for various controllers that I may have (but don't).

I can click on General Controller Settings. This brings up a blue box. Here I can also turn on/off Steam Input Status for the various controllers I don't have. I can also personalize my Xbox One Controller, but all I can do there is rename, calibrate it, change the rumble settings, etc. I don't have the option to do controller mapping.

The only place I've seen controller mapping is in Steam Settings, and then it's only for Desktop mode, Big Picture mode, etc. I have found Gamepad settings that *do* have the R3 stick click properly mapped, but that's it. It doesn't follow to GTA V.
