I can not use Steam controller while in VR

I'm emulating VR with IruinVR and using my phone as a viewer, tracking works well but my Steam controller won't work in any game while in VR. Any suggestions?

In the SteamVR-Settings there are an option to use gamepads.
Take a look under "Steam VR - Settings - Addional Settings" There you can enable Gamepad-Support.

Gamepad Support is "ON" but I still can't use my Steam controller. Outside VR it works fine

In some games my controller isn´t recognized also. Mostly happens if i run a game in Stereo3D by using the Tridef-Wrapper in STEAM. Games without STEAM are running well always.
Guess the Steam-API is guilty and we can only wait for a fix.

Didn´t work for me also. But it is an option to try.

Specifically, while wearing the VR headset, navigate in BPM with your controller and start the game from there. Don't use your VR controllers, ensures that BPM is working properly with the controller in VR.
