Yes i can activate the virtual keyboard over my controller and get into the BPM.
Did you manage to solve it? it doesn't only happens with the Steam controller, if you launch the game trough Steam you will get the same issue with a Xbox controller.
I managed to make it work using GloSC, I launched a Xbox controller profile and then launched the game outside Steam and the Steam Controller worked perfectly, but if I launch the game trough Steam, even while GloSC is working, the glitch returns. I also turned off the Steam overlay and no luck.
Something in the way Steam manage the controllers (any controller) has issues with this game.
Thanks! I'll take a look. That makes a lot of sense. My research points to LOTR not understanding Xbox 360 controllers, and SC used a 360 controller by default.
At the end, I "solved" it by using GloSC. I created a profile for the game and linked the game's exe, so it launches the game as any other from the library. The only problem is that the SteamOverlay doesn't work, but at least I can use the full Steam controller options.
