[FIXED] Steam Controller/PS4 controller BF1

I can't seem to get either working with BF1, any solutions? I've tried launching both the game and origin from steam. I've also tried setting origin back to the old interface, and even tried a completely fresh install of windows with nothing but steam, origin and BF1.

UPDATE: Disabling AMD External Events Service fixed the problem
