How do I configure Steam Controller with PCSX2?

I tried to get my controller to work with it but when I tried to configure, the "keyboard" functionality of the controller prevented me from binding all the controls. I looked at a guide that said I needed a certain plugin but when I checked the plugins folder it was already there.

Utterly confused. Does somebody know any methods for making a steam controler work for this emulator? Or how I can bind the controls properly?

@OP You do not need to change literally anything at all. PCSX2 works right out of the box with the SC. Though what is the easiest is to use the Pokopom Xinput plugin because it needs literally zero configuration at all, it just plain works. Set it to that plugin with the wizard when you first start the emulator or do it manually in the settings. From there, you are done, that's it. The only other thing you need to do is make sure you are using a gamepad based config for the SC. I would recommend setting it to the basic gamepad template and you can just tweak a little from there as you desire. I like making the grip buttons be the same as R1 and L1 but making them Triangle and circle is also good since those are the closest to the right pad for ease of use.

Oh, and you DO still have to launch it from within steam like Vepar implies but that, I am sure you already know.

If you end up having any other problems, just let me know. I use my SC for all emulation from Wii to Commodore64, from Sinclair ZX Spectrum to Light Gun arcade games so if anyone can help get it working in any specific emulator, it would be me.

There are, of course, a few emulators that are either tricky or impossible to get it to work properly with but those are few and far between.

Well, DS45 is not a steam controller so I can't help there. It should be essentially the same setup though. If it doesn't work with the DS4 via Steam then there must be something specific to that controller causing the problem and unfortunately, not much I can do since I haven't use a DS4 with Steam aside from about 15 minutes of fiddling when the feature first appeared. Maybe you should try just using the DS4 normally with the other software out there and use like a normal controller, that should be fine.

Oh... ok, thank you anyway :) I don't want to download external drivers for the DS4 to work, because they are usually kinda difficult to remove afterwards , so I'll try to find another solution :P

Have you gotten it to work with ps2 emulators because whenever i press start the computer reads it as escape and closes the game, i tried changing base configurations of the steam controller but it didnt work.

This only means you are using the default KB/M config. Maybe it could be using the desktop config. Try to make sure the overlay is working and it comes up while a game is loaded when pressing the Steam button as you would expect to. With the info you posted here, it's a little hard to troubleshoot directly. How exactly are you launching PCSX2? Are you using a front end? Launching PCSX2 as a non-Steam game? I'll try to help as much as I can but there isn't a lot to go on.
